| I travel all around the country often, and it would be wonderful if we could download maps of certain areas (cities or states) from our home computer before we hit the road (the downloaded maps could be stored in phone memory on external memory like a MicroSD card). That way, when we hit areas of low coverage (edge or below) or areas of no coverage, we can still use TeleNav without having it act super sluggish. |

| Even on edge when I have 0-1 bars of coverage I still seem to download maps just fine. I thought it downloaded from GPRS when edge/3g wasn't around.. but I could be wrong. |

Ypu are not wrong, you just have not gotten into the situation where you have NO coverage of any kind yet! This is a feature I very much want. |

| Count me in for this one. We all know that AT&T has...less than excellent coverage. With that in mind, it would be good for the end user experience if Telenav customers had an opportunity to download area maps. With this functionality, Telenav customers (current and future) would be able to take advantage of the Telenav product without having their end user experience negatively affected by the Carrier. |

| There are several appplications that do not depend on the cellular network. One such application is Garmin Mobile XT. I believe TomTom had a smartphone application at one point, but I am not sure if it is maintained. |
