|
|
| Previously I had a BB 8310 Curve with AT&T with Telenav (unknown vfersion). In the "Drive To" > "Address" section, I was able to type with one hand where the inital imput by default would automactically be numeric (without having to hold down "alt" key). After typing in the numeric I would click space and then type the next imput which would automatically be alphabetical, by default. Now I recently switch over to Tmobile with the BB 8900. I downloaded Telenav (most current version) and started using it but have lost that feature. Now when I type in a address, I have to hold down the "alt" key in order to enter numerical digits. If I don't hold the "alt" key down, them imput will be alphabetical by default. Can anyone help me get this feature back or did Telenav eliminated this feature with the most current version? Thanks |

| You should not need to hold down the ALT key when first typing in an address. It should automatically produce numbers until the space key is used. If this is still happening, de/reinstall the TN applicaiton to ensure you have the most updated software of the service. |

| Unbelievable!! Still having problem. I've uninstalled & re-installed the application numerous time prior to the reply and nothing. Now I received the reply from you John, tried it again & still not working. Lately Ive been getting very frustrated with the Telenav Application because I constantly get this message "no gps reception". But after I reboot several times then it works. Getting very close to cancelling with Telenav but hate to give it up since the application does have some nice features. |

In order to be a more inclusive application for other address formats, there is a really good reason for holding the Alt key while imputing the Address. This has been one of the improvments to the new builds. There are some addresses in Canada where the street name comes before the number. This is why the Alt key needs to be held if typing in numbers in out system. In regards to not being able to get a GPS fix on your BB device, Telenav only works if your device can provide a GPS fix. This would be an RIM/ATT issue. We do not manufature the GPS receiver insdie of your device. You may also contact our customer support center for further assistance. Thank you! |

The version of Telenav you are using probably does not provide this feature for you. Please read the post above your last for a perfect reason why. Let us know if you have any further questions or issues. Thank you! |

| There should be 1 input for street number and 1 input for street name, then there should be no issues. Other applications do it this way. |
